The government has decided to extend the second step of'social distancing' in the non-metropolitan area, which was scheduled to end on the 20th, by another week until the 27th.

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (Company) announced the policy to extend this distance at regular briefings.

The script says that the number of confirmed patients in the non-metropolitan area over the past week has fluctuated in the 20-40 range, and the overall spread seems to have subsided.

First of all, the script explained that sporadic group infections are occurring in many cities and provinces, and the proportion of cases being investigated is high, and there is a high possibility that latent infections in local communities will exist.

In addition, he added that there are still many cases of patients in the metropolitan area, and a large-scale movement is expected as the Chuseok holiday begins a week later.

As the government extends the second-stage measures for the non-metropolitan area, the suspension of operation of 11 types of'high-risk facilities' such as entertainment pubs and colatech will remain as they are now.

Meetings of 50 or more indoors and 100 or more outdoors are also prohibited.
