20 September 2020The attempted theft that took place during the night in a building in Rome, in via Paolo Di Dono, in the Eur district, south of the capital, ends in tragedy.



A man was killed, while a carabiniere was wounded.

According to reports from the Arma in a note, the Carabinieri of the radio-mobile nucleus had intervened in a building that houses offices, after reporting the presence of suspicious persons. 



Two soldiers then tried to stop a man, who hit one of them in the side with a screwdriver. The other Carabiniere then fired two pistol shots, fatal results for the attacker. The wounded soldier was transported to the Sant'Eugenio hospital for the treatment of the case, while the accomplice of the alleged thief, taking advantage of the excitement of the moment, managed to escape.



Victim identification is in progress.
