An exclusive survey by Newsweek reports that one in 6 US voters never wears a muzzle while riding on public transport.

Of the 2,500 registered American voters who participated in the poll conducted by the strategic consulting firm (Redfield & Wilton Strategies) for the magazine, 8% said they had never worn a muzzle that covered the mouth and nose on public transport.

Just over half (52%) said that the question does not apply to them, meaning that one in 6 participants admitted to never wearing a mask while traveling on public transport.

27% said that they always wear a mask in this case, 5% said that they wear it "most of the time," and another 5% said "sometimes," and 3% said "rarely."

The survey also revealed that more than half of Americans (60%) wear masks when leaving the house, and a fifth of them said they wear them "most of the time," and 11% said "sometimes."

The survey found that 4% of respondents said that it was rare for them to wear masks when leaving the house, while another 4% said they had never worn them.

The vast majority of respondents (74%) said they wore a muzzle at the grocery store, 9% said they wore it "most of the time," 8% said "sometimes," and 3% said they were rare or never.

Respondents were also asked about their habits of wearing masks when they are outdoors, and it was found that 36% wear them when they are with a friend outside, 16% "most of the time", 15% "sometimes", 14% "never" and 12% "rarely" .

When taking a walk in the park, 28% said they always wear them, 12% said either "most of the time" or "sometimes," and just over a fifth (21%) did not wear them while taking a walk in the park, followed by 10% who said they rarely do so .

A third of voters (35%) said they always wear masks when entering a house other than theirs, with 15% saying "never," 14% saying "sometimes," 13% saying "most of the time," and 11% saying "rarely."
