Nigerian Minister of Aviation Hadi Sereka announced the addition of Emirates Airlines to the list of airlines whose aircraft are not allowed to enter the West African country, and this comes in response to similar restrictions.

Sereka stated that Emirates Airlines will not be able to operate flights to Nigeria as of September 21, according to what was reported by Bloomberg News.

Nigeria, the most populous African country with a population of more than 200 million people, banned a number of airlines, as they resumed international flights on September 5 after a prolonged shutdown to limit the spread of the Corona virus.

Sereka returned on Twitter to say that officials in his country were holding talks with European Union officials about the ban on Lufthansa, Air France and KLM flights, adding that the outcome of the meeting was good.
