More than 953,000 deaths worldwide, increased contamination

The number of new daily cases there has tripled since the beginning of July (47,300 this week, against about 15,000).

More than 30 million cases of the new coronavirus have been officially recorded worldwide, according to a count made by AFP.

The United States remains the most bereaved country with at least 199,255 dead.
