Egypt ... 115 new cases of "Corona" and 20 deaths

Yesterday, Sunday, the Egyptian Ministry of Health said that it had recorded 115 new cases of Corona virus and 20 deaths, compared to 128 infections and 17 deaths the previous day.

"The total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Sunday, is 102015 cases, including 89,532 cases that have been cured, and 5770 deaths," ministry spokesman Khaled Mujahid said in a statement.

In mid-March, Egypt imposed general isolation measures to combat the outbreak of the virus, including night curfews, banning large public gatherings, and closing restaurants, theaters and cinemas.

But it has lifted most of these measures since late June.

In the latest easing of measures, the government recently stated that it would allow weddings and cultural events to be held in open places from September 21, after being banned for months in an effort to contain the spread of the virus.
