“We see that President Lukashenko made his choice, and this choice is Russia's support.

For us it certainly poses a threat, and we will adequately respond to any development of events in Belarus, but I want to say very clearly: Ukraine will always support the Belarusian people, ”UNIAN quotes Kuleba as saying.

The Foreign Minister specified that Ukraine will always adhere to this position.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that Belarus was forced to “withdraw troops from the streets” and “close the border” with Lithuania and Poland, as well as strengthen the border with “fraternal Ukraine”.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov advised Lukashenka to “drink some water” and “calm down”, noting that Ukrainians are friends of Belarusians.
