It was during a trial at Varberg District Court that an accused man was allowed to meet four of his relatives in a lock next to the court detention center.

The visit, which lasted just over two minutes, took place despite the fact that the accused was in custody and had not been granted a visit permit.

"Endangers all security"

It was a security guard who interrupted the visit by alerting the lawyer.

According to him, the prison guard had good intentions, but made an incorrect assessment.

- It endangers all security to let strangers inside the shell protection.

As far as I know, a prison guard was alone with five people at one time.

It is only possible to speculate about what it could have led to, says Mats Sjösten to the news agency Siren.

Missing regulations

According to the investigation, the probation officer made a mistake when the accused was allowed to see his relatives and has therefore broken his security consciousness.

However, there are no regulations governing unplanned visits during trials, and no measures or sanctions for staff are proposed.
