Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a liberal judge in the United States, died on Friday, aged 87, due to pancreatic cancer.

Ginsburg was the second woman after Sandra Day O'Connor to take a seat on the court and the first Jewish woman.

During his first 27 years on the court, Ginsburg was involved in voting through judgments securing the rights of women and homosexuals.

The tribute descriptions are many after Ginsburg's death.

Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden writes that Ruth Bader Ginsburg "stood for all of us."

"She was an American hero, a giant in law, a relentless voice in the highest American ideal.

Equal justice under the law.

May her memory bless all the people who cherish the Constitution and its promise. ”

Inspired American

President Donald Trump was reached by the news when NBC News asked if he wanted to comment on Ginsburg's death.

- You're the first to tell me now.

She lived a wonderful life.

What more can you say?

She was an amazing woman.

Whether you agree or not, she was an amazing woman who lived an amazing life.

I'm very sorry to hear this, the President replied.

In a lengthy statement, Donald Trump later wrote that Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her work have inspired Americans for generations.

"Our country mourns the death of a giant within the law.

Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg served more than 27 years as a judge in the Supreme Court of the United States - the second woman to be elected.

"Pathway for women"

Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton writes what Ginsburg has meant to her and her career.

Judge Ginsburg paved the way for so many women, including me.

There will never be someone like her again.

Thank you RGB. ”

Author Stephen King also describes Ginsburg as a giant.

“Rest in peace Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

A giant.

Make sure it is not a new Kavanaugh (Conservative judge nominated by Donald Trump) who replaces her, he writes on Twitter.
