An American dentist was sentenced to 12 years in prison for endangering the lives of others and committing fraud with insurance companies, after he appeared in a video recording treating a patient standing on an electric hoverboard.

The video shows dentist Sit Lockhart, 35, standing on an electric hoverboard, a device that allows automatic movement by standing on a moving platform on two wheels (scooters), and extracts a tooth from the mouth of a woman who appears under the influence of anesthesia and then moves into the room on his plate, lifting His hand to celebrate, as stated in the French report.

But this "achievement" did not satisfy the judicial authorities in the state of Alaska, which recently sentenced him to 20 years imprisonment, including 8 years suspended, and a fine of $ 2.2 million.

A statement issued by the local judicial authorities quoted the judge handling the case as saying that the video recording "which Lockhart became famous for is not the most dangerous aspect of this case". The dentist was convicted of 46 counts, including illegal practice of dentistry, embezzlement of funds and forgery.

And the judiciary in Alaska stated that Lockhart "nearly eliminated many patients by performing thousands of anesthesia operations without (the patients") consent and did not receive adequate training "for this purpose.

The dentist expressed his regret before the verdict was pronounced against him.

In statements reported by local American media, he said, "I cannot accurately determine when I started to deviate from the correct path."

He added, "I could and should have shown more discipline."
