US media sources revealed that the authorities had intercepted a few days ago, a parcel addressed to US President Donald Trump, containing the toxic "ricin".
White House mail messages are sorted and examined at an outside facility prior to delivery, and two tests were conducted to confirm the presence of this substance in the parcel.
Media sources reported that US intelligence and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are investigating this matter.
The substance "ricin" is highly toxic, and if ingested it causes nausea, vomiting, and internal bleeding in the stomach and intestines, followed by failure of the liver, spleen and kidney functions, which leads to death.
