The Foreign Ministry of Belarus announced the readiness of the list of retaliatory sanctions

“There will, of course, also be personal sanctions against representatives of various European Union structures, as well as representatives and individual member states of the European Union.

We already have a draft list.

We will be ready to launch it immediately after the relevant decision of the EU, ”he said.

Separately, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry added that Minsk may also reconsider its participation "in various initiatives, organizations, the activities of which would be meaningless without Belarus."

The corresponding statement of the minister is contained in the transcript of his approach to the media as part of the recording of Makei's speech at the general discussion of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.

Earlier, Makei said that Minsk could restrict the work of foreign media in response to possible sanctions from Western countries.

On September 18, it was reported that the United States and the European Union hoped to jointly announce sanctions on Belarus next week.
