The security situation is worsening in Haiti as a religious ceremony was held this Friday in tribute to the president of the bar of Port-au-Prince who was assassinated at the end of August at his home.

His funeral was celebrated Thursday, in the privacy of the wishes of the family.

Haitian lawyers and the Catholic Church demand an international commission of inquiry because they have no confidence in the country's justice, dependent on power.

The hundreds of lawyers in gowns gathered in the Saint-Pierre church in Petionville are tired of the eternal expression "the investigation continues" and want to know who ordered the

assassination of their colleague Me Dorval.

During his homily, Bishop Pierre-André Dumas did not hesitate to denounce the state's “

anarcho-populist

 ”

drift

: “

Haiti has passed many dictatorships, military regimes, but this is the first time that we killed a chairman in office.

It means that there is total disorder in the country.

We must not accept that this is happening or that it will happen again.

We need to do our utmost to say enough is enough.

 "

On several occasions the audience thus applauded and stood up in what was an indictment against power as a whole.

The interim president for her part denounced a "

state crime

 " because for her, "

either the state ordered the crime or it was unable to prevent it

 ".
