The minister announced that he had contracted the coronavirus via Twitter on Friday evening.

He said he had no symptoms and was in solitary confinement for 7 days.

However, he continues to exercise his functions. 

The Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire announced Friday evening that he had tested positive for Covid-19 and that he had been in isolation, while specifying that he had no symptoms and continued to perform his duties.

“I tested positive for Covid-19 tonight. I immediately went into isolation at my home in accordance with government health regulations. I have no symptoms. I will remain in isolation for 7 days. I continue to exercise my functions, "he said via his authenticated Twitter account.
