A seven-year-old rape suspect was arrested at Bråvalla

The rape must have taken place on 28 June 2013 in Norrköping in connection with the Bråvalla Festival.

Now, seven years later, he could be arrested after receiving a match via DNA, something that Swedish Radio is the first to tell.

It was the case that traces had been secured before, but had no suspected perpetrator until this person was found in the registers.

Then it became a match after quite a few years.

It happens more and more often that sooner or later it becomes a hit.

But this came quite suddenly, says Thomas Ramstedt who is the prosecutor for SVT Nyheter Öst.

Denies crime

On Friday, the man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

But he denies the crime.

Prosecution must be brought no later than 2 October.
