The County Administrative Board's investigation shows that there are at least two source areas for the discharge - landfills south of Stjärnarpsvägen and the industrial area adjacent to Metallvägen.

- There seem to be two different types of source areas because there are different substances that you find in the samples, says Tomas Sjöstedt.

Who is responsible for the pollution?

- It is not clear yet but it is associated with the activities that exist in the area, says Tomas Sjöstedt.

No impact on municipal drinking water

The municipal drinking water has not been affected by the PFAS discharge, but it is still unclear whether wells in the area may be polluted.

In the clip above, Tomas Sjöstedt talks about how the public in the immediate area should relate to the discharge, any risks that exist for humans and how long the exposure may have existed.
