9 newly confirmed cases in 31 provinces are all imported cases

　　China News Service, September 17th. According to the website of the National Health Commission, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 9 new confirmed cases from 0-24 on September 16th, all imported from abroad. Cases (4 in Shanghai, 2 in Shaanxi, 1 in Henan, 1 in Guangdong, and 1 in Yunnan); no new deaths; 1 new suspected case, imported from abroad (in Shanghai).

　　On the same day, 11 new cases were cured and discharged, and 728 close contacts were released from medical observation. There were 1 more severe cases than the previous day.

　　There are currently 141 confirmed cases imported from abroad (including 1 severe case) and 1 suspected case.

A total of 2,674 confirmed cases, a total of 2,533 cured and discharged cases, and no deaths.

　　As of 24:00 on September 16, according to reports from 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there are 141 confirmed cases (including 1 severe case), 80,448 cured and discharged cases, and 4,634 deaths. A total of 85,223 confirmed cases have been reported, and there is 1 suspected case.

A total of 824,740 close contacts have been traced, and 6,496 close contacts are still under medical observation.

　　31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 14 new cases of asymptomatic infections (all imported from abroad); no cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day; 21 cases of medical observation (all imported from abroad) were released on the same day; 354 cases of asymptomatic infections were under medical observation (353 cases imported from abroad).

　　A total of 5,530 confirmed cases have been notified from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Among them, there were 4,984 cases in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (4,663 discharged, 102 deaths), 46 cases in Macau Special Administrative Region (46 discharged cases), and 500 cases in Taiwan (477 discharged cases and 7 deaths).
