“On September 16, 2020, Russian airspace control devices over the neutral waters of the Black Sea detected an air target approaching the Russian state border,” RIA Novosti quoted the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation as saying.

It is noted that the Su-27 fighter was raised into the air to identify the air target and prevent violations of the Russian border.

It is specified that after the turn of the British aircraft from the border, the Su-27 returned to the home airfield.

Earlier, the Russian frigate Admiral Essen began tracking the US Navy destroyer Franklin Roosevelt, which entered the Black Sea.
