Stora Enso's CEO on downsizing: "We see no other way out"

- It feels very sad but we see no other way out, says Håkan Naij who is CEO of Stora Enso in Hylte.

Union representative Esa Huttu from the Swedish Paper Industry Workers' Union agrees that it is a hard blow for the mill in Hylte but that he is not surprised.

- We have felt it, there has been a decline in newsprint for many years and the pandemic has not made it better.

On Monday, negotiations between the employer and the union will begin.
