According to TASS, Heller ignored Ukraine's water blockade of Crimea in his report at the 45th session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The representative of the Russian delegation, Yaroslav Eremin, emphasized that this year the issue of the water blockade of Crimea "acquired additional urgency in the light of the severe drought that hit the peninsula."

According to Eremin, the Russian side is forced to state again that the UN special rapporteur has fundamentally ignored this well-known large-scale problem.

He noted that in this way Ukraine's flagrant violation of its obligations in the human rights sphere "remains outside the scope of the official assessments of the mandate holder."

In this regard, Russia called for the preparation and submission for consideration of the Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly "a separate report on the water blockade of Crimea by Ukraine."

Earlier, the administration of Simferopol reported that drinking water for residents of the city and 39 settlements of Simferopol and Bakhchisarai districts will be supplied hourly in the morning and evening from September 7.
