The mayor of Paris assumed Wednesday on Europe 1 to have demanded and obtained two days earlier the resignation of his deputy Pierre Aidenbaum, 78, accused of sexual assault.

"The less there will be comments on this work, the better we can move forward," also claimed Anne Hidalgo.

INTERVIEW

While the Christophe Girard affair, forced to resign at the end of July because he was accused of having supported Gabriel Matzneff, poisoned the summer of Paris city hall, the start of the school year was marked by another case concerning an assistant to Anne Hidalgo.

Accused of sexual assault, with the opening of an investigation in support, Pierre Aidenbaum, 78, resigned Monday from his duties as deputy in charge of the Seine.

According to the lawyer of the respondent, Anne Hidalgo wanted to protect herself by separating so quickly from her deputy.

"I react as a politician should react. When there is a fact that is mentioned to you, you must report it to justice," defended the mayor of Paris Wednesday on Europe 1.

"These are very complicated facts. Humanly, it's very hard," continued Anne Hidalgo.

"Now it is up to the justice to decide. The less there will be comments on this work, the better we can move forward," also launched the mayor of Paris.
