Boeing 737 MAX “Concealment in Accident” US Congress Final Report September 17, 8:12

A committee of the US House of Representatives, which had been investigating Boeing's 737 MAX that caused two crashes, released a final report on the 16th, recognizing a defect in the system and neglecting to report to the aviation authorities. He concluded that the concealment constitution led to the accident.

Boeing's flagship airliner, the 737 MAX, crashed in Indonesia in October and Ethiopia in March last year, and is still in service worldwide.

On the 16th, the US House of Representatives Transport Infrastructure Committee released the final report of a year-and-a-half-year investigation, including testimony of stakeholders.

First of all, it is said that Boeing hastened development to keep up with the new model of its rival Airbus in Europe, and emphasized profit over safety.

On top of that, while recognizing the flaws in the system that controls the aircraft, he neglected to report to the FAA = Federal Aviation Administration, and severely criticized that "Boeing's concealment constitution caused an accident."

On the other hand, he also points out that the safety review was not sufficient for FAA.

Boeing's orders have dropped significantly due to two accidents and suspension of operations, and due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, Boeing continues to operate harshly.

The company commented on this report that it "learned a lot of lessons from two accidents and mistakes," but there is no sign of resuming 737MAX operations.
