Gabonese striker Pierre Emric Aubameyang won a new contract with Arsenal, which catapulted him to the top of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

On Tuesday, Aubameyang signed a 3-year extension of his contract with Arsenal, and in return, he received a significant increase in his salary.

The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that the Gabonese striker would receive more than 380,000 euros per week with special bonuses whose value was not disclosed, after his previous salary was around 220,000 euros per week.

Aubameyang beat his Arsenal teammate, Mesut Ozil, and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, who each gets about 380,000 euros a week.
