Gray, nothing but gray.

Two regular season baseball games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in Seattle between the Mariners and the San Francisco Giants have been postponed due to poor air quality caused by fires ravaging the west coast of the United States.

The air quality index (IQAir), deemed poor from 50, greatly exceeds 200 in California, Oregon and Washington state - and even approaches 500 as close as possible to fires.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has argued that breathing the air in the worst-hit areas for a day is like smoking 400 cigarettes.

According to the New York Metro Weather website, smoke even crossed America to reach the Big Apple, where the sun glowed in a hazy sky.
