It was on Friday that the County Administrative Board in Halland decided that a protection hunt would be carried out on the wolf that had been in the county during the summer, after a fourth attack took place on Friday morning.

The hunt was to take place in parts of Varberg and Kungsbacka municipalities, but now the Administrative Court announces so-called inhibition, that the protection hunt will be stopped pending a final decision by the court.

- It is an appeal against our decision that has been received by the Administrative Court.

They have found that there is substance in the appeal and have therefore decided to stop the protection hunt temporarily, says Martin Broberg, nature conservation officer at the County Administrative Board.

Additional information is required

The County Administrative Board now has until 18 September to provide additional information before the protection hunt can possibly start.

- Only then do they proceed to the work with a final decision, says Martin Broberg.
