As noted, on September 15, Russian means of control over neutral waters detected an air target approaching the state border.

“The crew of the Russian fighter approached a safe distance to the aerial object and identified it as a US Navy P-8A Poseidon base patrol aircraft and escorted it over the Baltic Sea,” RIA Novosti reported.

After the turn of the foreign military aircraft, the Su-27 returned safely to the home base, the text says.

There was no violation of the state border.

On September 14, two Su-27s and two Su-30s intercepted three American strategic bombers over the Black Sea.
