“The investigation of the criminal case against the General Director of OJSC Kemerovo Confectionery Plant Vyacheslav Vishnevsky has been completed.

He is accused of giving a bribe (part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of Russia) on an especially large scale to an organized criminal group headed by an official - the head of the State Construction Supervision Inspectorate of the Kemerovo Region Tanziley Komkova, ”the Investigative Committee said.

The ministry emphasized that Komkova's son, Eduard Komkov, and Nikita Cherednichenko, director of ISK Resource LLC, were also members of the criminal group.

“According to the investigation, in 2013-2014, Vishnevsky gave Komkova, together with her son and Cherednichenko as a bribe, 7 million rubles for illegal actions and inaction when performing the functions of state construction and fire supervision during the reconstruction of the building of the second stage of the Zimnyaya Vishnya shopping and entertainment center in the city Kemerovo, "the message says.

Thus, Vishnevsky was able to reconstruct the shopping center without a building permit, the department said.

Vishnevsky, who, according to the UK, left Russia in 2016 and lived in Spain, was arrested in absentia and put on the international wanted list, was extradited from Poland on March 24, 2020.

In May, he was finally charged.

A fire in the "Winter cherry" in Kemerovo occurred on March 25, 2018.

As a result of the emergency 60 people died, including 37 children.
