The project, posted in the Duma electronic database, expands the list of grounds for inclusion in the unified register of Internet resources containing information prohibited in Russia.

So, to them is added "the decision of the body carrying out operational-search activities, adopted in accordance with its competence in relation to materials distributed via the Internet, containing, in accordance with the expert's opinion, given in the course of operational-search activities, signs of extremist materials."

It is proposed to empower the agencies carrying out the OSA with the right to send information about Internet resources to Roskomnadzor for their inclusion in the specified register.

According to the authors, it usually takes a long time from the discovery of inappropriate content to the issuance of a court decision to restrict access, which allows recruiters to “continue to carry out illegal activities with impunity and involve new participants in the ranks of extremist and terrorist organizations”.

The government does not support the initiative.

In its negative response, it pointed to the contradiction with the norms of the law "On operational-search activity".
