In 2018, the law was changed and it became clearer that it is not allowed to hold a mobile phone or other communication equipment in your hand and drive a car at the same time.
Since then, there has been a sharp increase in the number of people fined for so-called steering wheel surfing.
During the period January – August this year, the police registered 241 offenses of steering wheel surfing, according to police statistics.
During the same period last year, there were only 115, and in 2018 none.
- I do not think anyone wants to cause a traffic accident.
