The strike movement planned Thursday at the SNCF should be of "small scale", said Monday on Europe 1 the Minister for Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari.

"For the moment, we have 100% of the traffic and 70% of the passengers and we have a margin with regard to a movement which should be of small scale", indicated Mr. Djebbari, estimating that this movement is "rather illegible. "in his reasons.

"We have once again invested massively on the rail 5 billion in support in the recovery plan on the 11 billion in transport and we have come out of a sequence since 2017 where we took over 35 billion in debt to SNCF", he continued.

The CGT-Cheminots filed a strike notice at the end of August for the national day of action of September 17, launched by the CGT, joined by the FSU, Solidaires and youth organizations.

A week ago, the minister denounced a "strike out of habit" at a time "particularly complicated for all public transport".
