A manhunt was taking place on Monday in the Los Angeles area to find a gunman who seriously injured two police officers sitting in their service car, a suspect described as a "wild beast" by Donald Trump.
A bonus of $ 100,000 is offered for any information allowing the location of the assailant that a video, recorded on Saturday by a surveillance camera, shows approaching the patrol vehicle on foot and then opening fire in cold blood.

The two officers, a man and a woman, were seriously hit by several bullets and hospitalized.

Reacting quickly, the Democratic candidate for the White House, Joe Biden, condemned an "unspeakable" attack and wished that its author be brought to justice.
President Donald Trump went further, suggesting capital punishment for the gunman in case the police were to die.
“You have to hit the wild beasts hard,” the president tweeted.
