In the Arab world, Egypt comes in fourth place in terms of the number of injured, which is the ranking that Saudi Arabia leads, while in the order of deaths, Egypt comes in second place, and Iraq, which ranks first with 6,036 deaths during the study period, precedes it.

The study indicated that the highest growth rate of injuries was recorded in the governorates of Dakahlia, Damietta, Giza, Alexandria and Minya during the second week. Then the rate recorded a sudden decrease with the decline remaining constant until the 18th of last August.

The border governorates recorded the lowest growth rates, which indicates that the rate of spread of the disease is weak for them, as the appearance or registration of the first cases of the virus was delayed in most of these governorates for a period ranging from two to 8 weeks, unlike the rest of the governorates.

Assiut governorate recorded the highest death rate for injuries at a rate of 12.1%, followed by Damietta at a rate of 10.8%, then Fayoum at 9.9%, while Qalyubia recorded the lowest rate of 1.7%, followed by the Red Sea Governorate at 2.2%.
