Ajman Human Resources Department issues a circular regarding contact employees

 The Department of Human Resources in Ajman has issued a circular to all government agencies in the emirate regarding personnel in contact with the efforts and measures taken at the national level, aimed at limiting the spread of the new Corona virus, "Covid 19".

The circular obliged the government agencies in which a case of contact appeared to take the measures that must be followed regarding those in contact with a confirmed case inside the workplace according to the medical procedure in force in the country, in addition to counting and following up all the employees of the government agency who had contacts and educating them about the symptoms of the disease and what they should do if symptoms appeared on them.

The circular also specified the procedures for dealing with cases in contact with a person infected with the emerging corona virus "Covid 19" from inside or outside the work, as the circular indicated that the employee should be subjected to sick leave in the event that a positive examination result appears in accordance with the rules established in the calculation of sick leave shown in the Resources Law. In the event that the examination result is negative, the government agency must take the necessary measures, as it must apply remote work for employees from cases of contact for a period of (14) days or any periods of quarantine determined by the competent authorities in the country in the future, in the event that The job was remotely workable.

As for the contact cases from inside the workplace, if the test result is negative, the employee is considered to be on special sick leave for suspicion that an employee has a contagious disease, in accordance with the provisions of Article (34/8) of Ajman Government's Human Resources Law if the job is not able to work remotely .

With regard to cases of contact with a person from outside work, the employee is considered one of the mixed cases on periodic leave or leave without pay in the absence of a leave balance for a period of (14) days or any periods of quarantine decided by the competent authorities in the country in the future, in case the job is Not remotely workable.

The circular indicated that the mixed situation in the field of work or outside it is defined as including every employee who spent time in the vicinity of a confirmed case of infection with the emerging corona virus (Covid 19) within a distance of less than two meters, and for a period of more than 15 minutes.

The circular noted the need to count the contacts, starting with the employees who had contact with the confirmed case two days before the positive result of the (Covid-19) test for the confirmed case appeared.

The circular stipulated the necessity to apply quarantine to employees returning to the country from abroad, as the employee coming to the country from abroad must commit to completing the quarantine for a period of (14) days or any periods of quarantine decided by the competent authorities in the country in the future, and government agencies may apply the work Remotely for returning employees, if the job is remotely workable, and if the job is not remotely workable, the employee is considered on periodic leave or unpaid leave for a period of 14 days.

The Human Resources Department directed all human resources units in government agencies to compel employees to provide proof of contact by bringing in a report or medical statement from the relevant authorities in the state explaining the conditions of contact and the prescribed period of confinement.

The government authorities called for continuing to conduct periodic checks for the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) for all government agency employees according to the instructions issued in this regard, and to take the necessary measures represented in restricting the employees who are in contact at the workplace, informing the competent authorities of the existence of a contact case, and conducting the checks For contact workers, in addition to a thorough sterilization of the workplace and its facilities.

The circular also obligated all employees of government agencies to take preventive measures that are represented in wearing masks, disinfecting hands, and achieving social distancing distances between employees for a distance of not less than two meters, with the need to download and activate the "Al-Hosn" application as the official digital platform for the new Corona virus (Covid) tests. -19) In the United Arab Emirates, with emphasis not to come to the workplace in the event of any symptoms of Covid-19 or any similar symptoms, and inform the employer through approved means of communication.
