The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus informs about this.
The ministry said that the protest actions ended almost everywhere, except for the capital of the republic.
"More than 400 people were detained in various districts of the capital," RIA Novosti is quoted as saying.
According to the ministry, at least 100 people tried to beat off active protesters from the police who were detained on Pobediteley Avenue.
“To suppress illegal actions, a warning shot was fired into the air from a pump-action shotgun,” the ministry said.
Earlier in Brest, a water cannon was used against the participants of an uncoordinated protest action that blocked the roadway.
