The inhabitants of the east of the Nantes agglomeration have surely heard it.

Since Friday evening, a free party has been set up illegally in the meadows in Basse-Goulaine, not far from the ring road bridge and the Bellevue bridge.

More than a thousand parties converged by car in the night from Friday to Saturday towards the meeting place kept secret until the last moment.

The authorities were unable to prevent the event despite the prefectural ban on any festive gathering this weekend.

Loire-Atlantique has indeed passed into the red zone, known as the “active circulation zone” of the coronavirus and this type of meeting is conducive to contamination.

The gendarmerie is positioned near the site to carry out checks, especially at exits.

The free party is to end this Sunday in the early evening.

Parties from other regions are expected to leave the premises in the middle of the day.
