A third medical aid plane, run by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, arrived in Damascus yesterday, in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent Society, to limit the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic in the Syrian arena, as part of the UAE's global response to address the pandemic, strengthen preventive and precautionary measures and support the medical sector Syrian to face the challenges in this regard.

The Secretary-General of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Dr.Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, said that this aid comes within the framework of the initiatives undertaken by the UAE under the guidance of the wise leadership, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's representative in the Al Dhafra region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, to support efforts International Organization to combat the global spread of Corona virus.

He stressed that the UAE is making great efforts to help brotherly and friendly countries overcome the current health conditions, stand by them and strengthen their health capabilities to face the repercussions of the pandemic.

He added that the Emirates Red Crescent Authority conducted this shipment of medical aid in coordination with the Syrian Red Crescent Society, within the framework of joint humanitarian cooperation between the two national societies.
