Comedian Jean-Marie Bigard, who was insulted and abused on Saturday during the Parisian parade of yellow vests, was the guest of Europe 1 on Saturday.

He took the opportunity to settle accounts with Jérôme Rodrigues, one of the figures of the movement.

INTERVIEW

The demonstration of the yellow vests did not really take place as Jean-Marie Bigard had imagined.

The comedian was violently attacked in the Stock Exchange district, on the sidelines of one of the two gatherings authorized by the Paris police headquarters.

"I was scared. Fortunately, there were two people supervising my security. But I still took a bottle in the mouth and kicked in the legs. The two guys who accompanied me were very strong. and very competent and they told me that they were not going to be enough to contain this anger and this meanness ", he confided on Saturday evening on Europe 1.

Disagree with Jérôme Rodrigues

On the videos relayed by several journalists and television channels, we can see him being heckled and insulted by the demonstrators, then forced to take refuge in a brewery.

A few days earlier, Jean-Marie Bigard had condemned the words of Jérôme Rodrigues, one of the figures of the yellow vests movement, who had compared the police to "a band of Nazis".

"I dissociate myself (...) and I refuse to parade alongside him next Saturday, even if the cause was close to my heart," he had initially indicated, before deciding to participate in the rally.

Jean-Marie Bigard taken to task by demonstrators must leave the demonstration.

Exfiltration in progress.

"Jérôme Rodrgiues has no words, no respect"

"It's amazing! I get called a collaborator when I condemn the words of a guy who says cops are Nazis, which I cannot accept. I can no longer be arm in arm with a guy who has such words. It made him angry suddenly, he sent me yellow vests a little leftist and quite violent. I was very disappointed, "continued Jean-Marie Bigard.

And he was particularly upset against Jérôme Rodrigues, whose title he challenged as "leader of the yellow vests".

"He is the leader of nothing at all, he's an asshole, that's all! He has no words, no respect," the comedian was carried away.

"The government did not understand the anger of the people"

Despite this mishap, Jean-Marie Bigard confirmed that he still wanted to participate in the public debate and get involved in politics: "As soon as I feel that there is an injustice somewhere, I want to propose myself. So It doesn't change anything. If I let myself be impressed by a guy who posts things on Facebook to try to harm me…. ".

He also took the opportunity to criticize government policy.

"I find that the anger (of the yellow vests,

) was very, very badly managed. Our governors were about as bad as with the health crisis. They were zero, they contradicted themselves, they lied to us , they made promises of bread crumbs to the yellow vests. They did not understand the anger of the people, "he concluded.
