For several days, an Ehpad in Séverac-d'Aveyron, 50 km east of Rodez, has been crystallizing concerns.

On Friday evening, three residents died, while 70 of the 73 residents were affected by Covid-19, as well as the vast majority of the medical team, indicates

Last Sunday, this retirement home announced that 43 residents and 11 employees had been infected with the coronavirus.

For the president of the council of the Aveyron Order of Physicians, questioned by the daily, "it is the biggest hot spot in the department, and perhaps even in France".

Alain Vieillescazes is sounding the alarm, especially since the three city doctors of the town are sick.

Against a background of medical desertification, he questions the reaction time of the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Occitanie and fears that “30 or 40 patients require hospitalization”, which would require a transfer to Rodez or Millau.
