The Sharjah Police General Command revealed, during a press conference, the details of a specific operation called (7/7 Fist), through which its security services managed to control an international network of "58" people, which sought to promote "153" kilograms of drugs with the intention Sell ​​it, with a market value of about "63" million dirhams. 

The Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, confirmed that the seizure was qualitative, as the members of the criminal network deliberately exploited the current circumstances of the spread of Covid 19 to introduce their toxins into the country and promote it, but the anti-drug services of the Sharjah Police prevented the completion of their plan. And it managed to seize (153) kilograms of drugs, and tightened the security grip on all sides of the network consisting of (58) people, indicating that the Drug Enforcement Administration made great efforts, during the past months, in monitoring, following up and monitoring the network, which enabled it to fully brief With its members and catching them one by one.

In the details of the case, the Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department of Sharjah Police, Lt. Col. Majid Al-Asam, said: Confirmed information has been monitored by the competent authorities of the administration indicating the existence of a gang formation linked to an international fabric based in an Asian country to carry out its activity of smuggling, storing, trafficking and promoting narcotic substances.

He continued: Based on the information, a team was formed to monitor, monitor and analyze the data, and set up a tight plan to trap the gang members, after its strings were exposed in front of the members of the control team, as the marine means used by the criminal network members were monitored at one of the country's ports, taking advantage of the license granted to it to import foodstuffs , In introducing these toxins, and the search and investigation work continued until a residential villa was spotted in one of the Emirates, and the head of the gang exploited it in the process of extracting crystal drug and converting it from a liquid to its crystalline appearance after adding chemicals to it.

Lieutenant Colonel Al-Asam added that, as a result of the investigation, close monitoring, and the work of the combat agents around the clock until the zero hour was determined, the (58) members of the formation were arrested one after the other, by setting up several tight ambushes, and harnessing the modern devices and technologies available at Sharjah Police, which uses it in monitoring, follow-up and detection of narcotic substances of all kinds, as the operation also resulted in the seizure of more than (153) kilograms of drugs, including crystal drug, heroin, hashish and (69) liters of liquid crystal drug. Its market value is about (63) million dirhams.

He pointed out that the competent security agencies monitored (7) bank accounts, and after following them up and checking them, it became clear that they belong to the criminal network, as they used them to collect the sums of money from the trade and promotion of narcotic substances, and during the investigations the members of the formation admitted their attempt to introduce narcotic substances, and their plans to promote them Where they were arrested and referred to the Sharjah Public Prosecution.
