In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation praised the decision of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and expressed its hope that this step will have a positive impact on the climate of peace and cooperation regionally and internationally.
The ministry indicated that the Kingdom of Bahrain's decision to direct relations with the State of Israel is an important step to enhance security and prosperity in the region, stressing that this step would expand the scope of economic, cultural, scientific and diplomatic cooperation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, stressed the importance of the historic step taken by the King of Bahrain, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to achieve peace in the Middle East.
Bahrain News Agency (BNA) quoted Al-Zayani as saying in a statement that Bahrain stresses the importance of intensifying and doubling efforts to reach a just solution, and considering peace as a strategic option to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in a just and comprehensive manner.
