The Japanese Kiyoshi Kurosawa for the film "Spy No Tsuma" ("The wife of a spy") won the Silver Lion for best director.



Coppa Volpi for the best female interpretation to Vanessa Kirby in the film "Pieces of a Woman" by Kornél Mundruczó (Canada, Hungary).



The Volpi Cup for the best male performer goes to Pierfrancesco Favino for the interpretation in "Padrenostro" by Claudio Noce.



Russian Andrei Konchalovsky wins the Special Jury Prize for "Dorogie Tovarischi!"

("Dear Comrades") while going to Indian Chaitanya Tamhane for the film "The Disciple" the Best Screenplay Award.



The Horizons Award for Best Film went to "Dashte Khamoush" ("The Wasteland") by Ahmad Bahrami (Iran).



The Marcello Mastroianni Prize for an emerging young actor was awarded to Rouhollah Zamani in the film "Khorshid" ("Sun Chidren") by Majid Majidi (Iran).



The winner of the Orizzonti Award for the best screenplay is Pietro Castellitto for the film "I predatori", of which he is also the director.



The Lion of the Future - Venice First Feature Award Luigi de Laurentiis went to Ana Rocha de Sousa's "Listen" (United Kingdom, Portugal).
