Deng Hui, head of the Bioindustry Development Bureau of Chengdu High-tech Zone, said that the Chengdu-Chongqing area should strengthen coordination and implement precise policies. In Feng Tao's view, the current Chongqing biopharmaceutical industry has problems such as insufficient innovation capabilities, scarcity of professional talents, low capital activity, and weak aggregation effect.
He believes that the development of Chongqing's biopharmaceutical industry requires a unique approach, overtaking in corners, increasing basic research, and strengthening original innovation.
In order to actively integrate into the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing dual-city economic circle and promote the integration and development of the pharmaceutical industry to a new level, the Chengdu High-tech Zone Bio-industry Experts Association and Chongqing Pharmaceutical Industry Association jointly signed the Industry Convergence Development, Industry Co-governance Strategic Cooperation Agreement", reached a consensus on the establishment of a cooperative exchange platform, resource sharing of expert think tanks, and jointly building an industrial service platform.
Xu Zhipeng, deputy director of the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau, said that Chongqing will spare no effort to promote the development of the pharmaceutical industry, promote the improvement of the industrial chain with industrial scale, adopt development policies tailored to local conditions, and support the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing double-city economic circle.
