Ras Al Khaimah Transportation implements 8 initiatives to limit the spread of Corona

Ismail Al Balushi: “The authority conducted preventive examinations for the Corona virus for all drivers and its workers.”

The Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, Engineer Ismail Hussein Al Balushi, said that the authority has implemented eight initiatives and community measures that have contributed to limiting the spread of the Corona virus in the emirate, including the delivery of medicines to patients' homes, in cooperation with the Ras Al Khaimah Medical District and Saqr Governmental Hospital.

He stressed the authority's interest in partnering with various governmental and private institutions and agencies and public benefit bodies by launching community initiatives that would enhance joint cooperation between the various authorities in the emirate, including the initiative to deliver people recovered from the Coronavirus.

Al-Balushi explained to “Emirates Today” that the authority implemented the initiative in cooperation with Obaidullah Hospital, by providing vehicles designated to deliver them from quarantine areas to their homes in various areas, according to data received from the medical district in Ras Al Khaimah.

He added that the authority launched an initiative to deliver fish to the residents of the emirate, in cooperation with the Ras al-Khaimah municipality, and the “Do not paralyze them” initiative, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Authority, to provide preventive medical equipment to drivers.

He pointed out that the authority has conducted many preventive examinations for the Corona virus for all drivers and its employees, following that the authority has committed to all preventive measures for means of transportation by providing sterilizers and insulators inside the vehicles and the continuous sterilization of the fleet of vehicles daily.

He stated that the interactive knowledge platform was launched to provide training programs for employees, in addition to allocating an operations room for the security and safety team and the precautionary measures team to work on a daily basis, 24 hours a day, to follow up and supervise the progress of sterilization operations, the extent of adherence to all preventive measures, and to provide transportation when necessary.
