The weekend will start with rain and wind and a feeling of autumn in large parts of the country.

But it's too early to put away all summer clothes.

- We have late summer summer heat on, especially in southern Sweden with temperatures of between 20 and 25 degrees.

But the hot air does not reach all the way up into the country, says Marcus Sjöstedt.

Central Sweden can expect temperatures of between 15 and 20 degrees next week.

The forecast for northern Sweden is 10-15 degrees and there may also be some showers.

Fight between cold air and hot air

That the heat does not rise all the way up in the country is due to a high pressure from the Norwegian sea that spins in cold air and pushes the heat down south again.

- There will be a battle between the cold air and the hot air in the middle of next week.

It is still uncertain what will happen, but the forecast points to a return to around 10 degrees in the north and around 15 degrees in the south, says Marcus Sjöstedt.

Mixed September weather

After a very hot month of August, September has so far offered mixed weather with both higher temperatures and low pressure with showers.

It is normal for this time, says Marcus Sjöstedt.

- It is not uncommon for a flurry of bonus heat in September.

In large parts of southern Sweden, it is still summer, even though autumn is beginning to creep in in the north.
