EU submits bill to part of UK withdrawal agreement EU demands withdrawal September 11 10:00

Following the UK's Johnson administration's submission of a bill containing some of the withdrawal agreements already agreed with the EU-European Union, the EU's vice-chairman has moved to the UK. I urged the withdrawal of the bill.

Both sides agreed to an agreement stipulating the conditions for withdrawal from the EU, but the Johnson administration in the United Kingdom submitted a bill to the House of Representatives on the 9th, which included a part of the agreement.

The withdrawal agreement includes the UK and Northern Ireland, which are connected to the EU member states Ireland, to follow EU rules regarding the traffic of goods, but the bill includes a free trade agreement with the EU. If the negotiations break down, the rules say that the UK will be decided.

In response, the EU strongly opposed the bill as violating international law, and on the 10th, Vice-Chairman Chef Chovic visited London and had an urgent meeting with the Secretary of State for the Cabinet Office of Gove in the United Kingdom.

At the meeting, Vice-Chairman Chef Chovic strongly accused the withdrawal agreement of being legally valid as international law and cannot be unilaterally changed, and called for the bill to be withdrawn later this month.

In response, the Cabinet Office Minister Gove emphasized, "I told the EU that the bill cannot be withdrawn and I have no intention of withdrawing it," and the gap between the two sides is deepening as negotiations on a free trade agreement are difficult. ..

French Foreign Minister “Bill not approved”

According to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Le Drian mentioned the bill in a meeting with British Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Dreak on the 10th, stating that it "violates the provisions of the withdrawal agreement and is of an unacceptable nature," submitted by the Johnson administration. It means that he conveyed the idea that the bill would not be accepted.
