The complicated political course that starts this week is going to make the Andalusian Government something more bearable thanks to the

renewed commitment

of Vox, which announced on Thursday its intention to return to support the Board's budgets.

Although the negotiation has not yet officially started, Vox made an act of faith (or perhaps not) convinced that the agreement will be possible and that the PP and Ciudadanos project will deserve their support, even if they have to renounce some of their aspirations for the legislature.

"It is time to forget about

maximalist positions, no matter how

much we believe in them," the Vox spokesman, Alejandro Hernández, even said during the plenary session of Parliament, who even encouraged the Chairman of the Board, Juan Manuel Moreno, to "speak with other political groups "as it is not the intention of his party to establish" cordones sanitarios. "

In this way, Vox consolidates itself as

the preferred parliamentary partner of the Andalusian Government,

which thus sees the path to the halfway point of the legislature paved and perhaps further afield because, if the negotiation comes to fruition, the Andalusian Government will have managed to carry out three budgets, a political achievement in such hectic times and with a minority and coalition executive.

The president of the Board will start next week, in any case, a

new round of contacts with the parliamentary groups,

with the theoretical objective of achieving the greatest possible number of support for the 2021 accounts, highly conditioned by the bill of the pandemic and pending the transfers that come from the State from the extraordinary funds authorized by the European Union.

It will therefore be a budget full of limitations and with very little room for maneuver, beyond assuming the obligations derived from the increase in health, educational and social spending, all of them triggered by the effect of the coronavirus.

And to such an extent it will be conditioned that the PP and Citizens have also recognized that it will not be possible to advance in the

reduction of taxes

at the rate that was promised at the beginning of the legislature, since the collapse of the economy will have a cost that has not yet been specified. on community income.

The president of the Board thanked Vox for the offer and insisted on his offer of "dialogue and agreement" to the rest of the opposition groups (PSOE and Adelante Andalucía), because "in this time of anxiety it is what the Andalusians demand" .

Moreno announced that

the 2021 accounts

will aim to "combat the pandemic, maintain basic services at the highest level and give priority to projects related to productive investment and economic reactivation."

The Andalusian Government knows that carrying out its third budgets will also serve to send a message of stability to the markets, essential to find the financing and foreign investment necessary to refloat the Andalusian economy, which will surely be one of the worst hit in Europe given the weight that tourism has in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), around 13 percent.

Vox's attitude towards the negotiation of budgets is also a balm in the relations between this party and the government partners, with whom they have had serious differences in some moments of the legislature.

In fact, Vox has been very critical of the systematic use of the

decree as a normative tool

by the Executive, and has made it known publicly.

In addition, he came to question the continuity of his support for the Government after denouncing the Citizens' boycott of several initiatives related to the commitments already reached in matters of immigration, gender violence, historical memory or education, which are the workhorses of the Santiago party Abascal.

Thus, for example, the Ministry of Education, in the hands of Cs, has for the moment refused to implement the

parental pin,

which theoretically recognizes the right of parents to veto certain curricular content related, for example, to sexual education or sexual relations. equality policies.

Also, in terms of gender violence, Vox has recently regretted that the telephone against intrafamily violence has not yet been implemented, one of the commitments made by the Government with its parliamentary partner.

But the irruption of the pandemic in the political debate seems to have altered the order of priorities and the willingness of Vox to go ahead with its stability agreements shows that dialogue and negotiation between the partners on

pending matters

may be much more advanced of what has been publicly disclosed.
