“The Secretary General strongly condemns the attack on the official motorcade of First Vice President Amrullah Saleh in Kabul today, which killed and injured dozens of civilians,” the organization's website said in a statement.
It is noted that Guterres reaffirmed the UN's commitment to the position that the settlement of the situation in the country is possible only through diplomatic means.
Earlier, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad said that the American side condemns the attack on the First Vice President of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh.
