on TMC Thursday evening, Nicolas Sarkozy affirmed that he would no longer do "daily, partisan politics", adding that this period of his life was behind him.

"This period of my life is behind me, daily political life, partisan, I will not do any more, I am no longer an issue on this side," replied Nicolas Sarkozy on his possible return to politics.

"I am from the world before"

"I am from the world before, with values, courage, energy, dreams", underlined the former head of state, regretting "the horizontality" of the world today.

But "there is nothing that goes out of fashion more than the new world".

To the question "What is a good president?"

"Nicolas Sarkozy replied:" A fighter ".

And 'a bad one?

"A normal", he said, alluding to François Hollande.

The upcoming trials will not prevent him from sleeping

As for the trials which await him, he assured that "no", that did not prevent him from sleeping.

“Life is made up of ups and downs, satisfactions and trials,” he added.

Nicolas Sarkozy is to be tried at the end of 2020 in the so-called “tapping” case and to appear in 2021 in a second trial on his campaign costs for the 2012 presidential election.
