"It's not a magic formula that will arrive in January and solve the world's problems," said Dr. Soumya Swaminathan , one of the leading researchers of the UN agency.
"It will take a long time to reach herd immunity, with 60% or 70% of the population immunized, and actually stop the transmission. It will have to wait until 2022 without a doubt and until then the populations must be disciplined", he added.
