The RT correspondent, a member of the Moscow POC Boris Klin, who visited the artist in the detention center, also said that Efremov was looking for a new lawyer.
“For me now the main question is who will represent me in the appeal,” Klin quotes Efremov's words.
The artist also said that he has no complaints about the conditions of detention.
He said that he watched football with inmates in the evening.
“I didn’t look at myself, I’ve seen enough in three months,” Yefremov said, adding that he has not slept well for the past three months and the first night in the pre-trial detention center was no exception.
At the same time, lawyer Elman Pashayev denies that Efremov refused his services, RIA Novosti clarifies.
“This is nonsense, the information is not true,” he said.
According to him, he is currently working on an expanded appeal against the verdict.
On September 8, the court found Efremov guilty in the case of an accident and sentenced the actor to eight years in a general regime colony.
In August, Efremov at a court hearing refused his lawyer Pashayev, but later re-entered into an agreement with him.
